depends on a lot of things........is your battery shorted out or is it just dead?
Most likely: 1. bad battery connection + or ground 2. bad coil or wires 3. bad cam/crank sensor
Probably a bad ground from the battery to engine/body.
Does the engine crank but not start? Or does it not even crank? Based on the information you gave, you could have a bad starter or weak battery. Dead battery. Recharge it or get a new one.
Bad starter or fualty battery connections. Check all grounds and/or bring the starter to autozone to have it checked
bad battery
Dead or weak battery? Bad starter? Bad starter solenoid? Loose or corroded battery cables? Defective neutral switch?
The vehicle will not crank.
starter
One symptom of a bad crank shaft sensor is the car having trouble starting. The car stalling and backfiring are other symptoms of a bad crank shaft sensor.
If the other cells are still good, it's not too cold outside, and you don't have to crank it for long - then they usually will.
Battery cables could be loose, battery could be bad, starter could be bad, starter solenoid could be bad, ignition switch could be bad. Turn on the headlights and try to crank the engine. If the headlights dim or go out look at the cables or battery. If they stay bright look at starter, solenoid or ignition switch. The neutral safety switch or clutch petal switch could do it too.
Timing is off.
