A lot of dogs are scared of guinea pigs. I currently have a guinea pig and a Labrador Retriever and they both get along fine. Hope this helps!
I have a miniature schnauzer who's best friend is my guinea pig. He is very protective over it, and won't let other dogs near it.

So, my dog and guinea pig get along great!
Sometimes they can get on really well; but if you are going to introduce them for the first time, make sure that the dog can't get to the guinea pig but can see him.

∙ 13y agoI would sugest a small breed like a Chihuahua or mabe even a Dashund but if the two are brought up together or are introduced from a distance all breeds should be good.
