When you try to download mods on Minecraft the computer says the java jar file could not be opened what do you do?

You need to download an archive manager. It is a file manager that can open and manage files that your operating system can not. The most common ones are 7-zip and WinRAR Archive. In the mod community these are the only archive managers used to download mods.
