The question is a bit vague in specifics, so I'll start with offering the Related Questions below for the firing order & sparkplug wiring.
Hopefully that'll be somewhat related to the information being sought...
The 2002 Ford Taurus V-6 engine ignition coil can be found on the firewall in the engine compartment. The coil is located on the drivers side of the firewall.
In a 2000 Ford Taurus , the 3.0 liter " Duratec " DOHC - V6 has the Coil On Plug ( C.O.P. ) ignition system . So there are ( 6 coil packs )

if it is a dohc engine then you may have to remove the intake manifold
On a 2002 Ford Taurus : As far as I know the SEL trim level just had the 3.0 liter " Duratec" DOHC , V6 engine
I think it is printed on the side of the ignition coil. That's where it was on my 2000 Taurus 3.0 FFV.

It is possible, it just requires a new pcm and wiring harness.
On a 2001 Ford Taurus : The coil pack towers should be numbered ( at least they are on any other Ford coil pack that I have seen ) coil-----3 - 4 pack----2 - 6 plug-----1 - 5 ------------------------------------------------------------------- Also , the spark plug firing order is ( 1 - 4 - 2 - 5 - 3 - 6 ) The engine cylinder locations are numbered : firewall 1-----2-----3 4-----5-----6 front of Ford Taurus V6 > driver
No there is only 1 located on the DOHC taurus. It is on the passanger front side of the engine right below the valve cover. 1 8 MM bolt holds it in and unplug the two prong plug and install in reverse. Hope that helped.
