his is a trick question.. there is no "park" with a manual transmission.. either it's in gear, or it's in neutral.

I will bet that you are parked on a hill. If the car drifts backwards, it can bind the park pin in the transmission and make it difficult to take it out of park. Before you have it hauled off to the transmission shop, see if you can convince some friends to push the car uphill an inch or 2 while you try to drop it out of park.

All fluids should be checked when you purchase fuel. All fluids except for the transmission fluid should be checked with the engine off and at operating temperature. The transmission fluid should be checked the engine running and the transmission in PARK if automatic or NEUTRAL if manual.
