There are many types that work in different ways. For me a take a type that slowly works for about 12 hours in the morning. I also take a quick acting insulin. I take different amount according to my blood sugar and what I'm eating. I do the same for night time. I take extra quick acting insulin when ever I eat something sweet. When my glucose levels drop I eat something sweet to bring it back up. Some people use insulin pumps. It's way easier to monitor your blood sugar levels that way. I Might get one at some point.
