Yes, it will. I just recently surfaced my old 2600-D and tried it out with my D40 and it works perfectly. I believe you need to have the built-in flash setting set to manual, but once you've done that you'll be good to go. After you've got the flash on the camera and powered up you may want to adjust some settings on the flash and in the camera, depending on what you're shooting, of course. I personally use the flash white balance setting set to -1. You may also want the adjust the flash compensation. I find that the best way to find the perfect settings is to just experiment and try out different things. Anyway, I hope that helped! Good luck.

I don't particularly care for Vivitar. Nikon and Cannon are the best. However, if you can't afford those, go with a Kodak

There is a difference between the Nikon camera and the Sony camera. The Nikon camera has more features and it is also wireless. The Sony camera is digital.
Nikon was founded in 1917 in Japan, with Makoto Kimura as the current president. Nikon produced the its first digital camera for NASA in 1991. There is no single person responsible for the production of the first Nikon Digital Camera; it was a company-wide effort.
A good place to find a digital camera made by Nikon would be Staples. They have tons of choices and I bet they have digital cameras made by Nikon. So go take a quick look.
