This is a common question amongst patients. It really depends on the specific case. Most frequently, the answer is yes, a baby with polysplenia will develop immunity within the same timeframe as any "normal" child (not that there is a normal in human development). In rare cases, however the division of the spleen can be so detrimental to the child's immuno-development, that it can pose a serious health concern. If this is the case, then the baby will have a low survival chance, and seeing as you can't spell the disease your own child has, maybe you shouldn't be reproducing in the first place. My diagnosis: suicide pact - you and the kid.

Their immune systems aren't as developed as adults' are. Babies are born with some natural immunity passed down from the mother, but for the most part we humans have to earn our badges of immunity by having the disease first.
No way!If the baby is born then it may catch the syndrome aswell...... moving on to the next one
Human babies develop motor control over a period of time after their birth. Some develop motor controls faster than others. Most babies first develop neck muscle motor control.
its when immunity is passed on. e.g. colostrum (which boosts the babies immune system) in the mothers milk is drunk by the baby. when the baby drinks the milk it will get colostrum, which you would say is immunity because it greatly helps the immune system.
