It may if you work in a place where the geeks don't like visible piercings. Discrimination is a piercing hazard and you need to consider removing the jewellery to maintain your employment, unless you are an incredible computer tech, then if that is the case they can just get over it. Your deportment and skills should always out weigh the appearance however remember first impressions still count. Gee if you looked at me you would think I was a paramedic or a firefighter not a 15 year experienced professional body piercer.
