A fruit fly will not lay eggs in humans because they would not be able to stay still on a human long enough. A human would get the fly off of them before they would have a chance to lay eggs.
Humans themselves do not use photosynthesis, but because humans depend on plants, as well as other animals that eat plants, in order to live, no, humans could not live without photosynthesis. Unless plants had another way to make food for themselves, humans could not live without photosynthesis.
When humans see fruit flies, they instinctively try to chase them away. Many households have a spray that can be used to kill the flying insects.
Firstly, peas and fruit flies come to maturity much faster than humans so you can fit in lots of generations in a practicable time. Secondly, fruit flies have a much simpler genotype than we do. Finally there are far fewer ethical restrictions when you experiment on flies or peas.
Having just returned from NH and finding a mouse that had 3 bot flies in it, I would imagine those same flies to be able to live in humans. Mouse bots are a cute fly called Cuterebrids, they cannot live in humans. The human bot is exclusively tropical.
It's to hot for humans to live on
we would all be eaten by flies
