In simple terms: no, it would not be rational. But does the inquirer wish to be rational: if, yes: why. Or does the inquirer not wish to be rational: if yes, also: Why? Being rational is for ordinary people: that group of people whose job is to maintain the homeostasis (the stability) of the world: this sometimes is taken to limits that are very rigid: thus the emergence of the creative, the original, those who break the rules.
