I extremely doubt this for a few reasons:
Advantages- · Provides plenty of food to many people and communities, · The whole whale is used, none wasted. · Gives many people jobs in the whaling industries and also in charities preventing whaling. · Whale meat sells for a lot of money. · Some scientific research is carried out through Whaling although we can't be sure how much of it actually is. Hope this helps!:D
Yes. you will get rid of the problem because the monitor will have better display features.
Whaling should'nt be allowed again, as it could cause a slowly growing population of great species, into an endangered species. Whaling still exists illegally in some countries, and whale parts are in several cosmetic's including lip-stick! Whaling is a vicious, dangerous so called "sport" or "hobby", but would you call being chased by murderer's a hobby? I dont think so.
Main reasons would be the reduction of the global whale population and as a result, the 1986 ban on commercial whaling. However, countries like Japan is still doing but in past 6 years, Japan has failed to make a profit of their whaling industry due to a environmental activist non governmental organisation called Sea Shepherd Conservation Society and they have intervene their whaling by trying to reinforce the commercial whaling ban without the use of violence. For other countries, it is just to the fact that people aren't interested as much due to publicity with Japan's Whaling industry.
That would be because of whaling.
It's hard to say but the earliest signs of whaling activity would be as earliest as 6000BC based on archaeological finds.
That would depend on whether you are the whale or the person doing the whaling. If you are the whale, I would say the answer would be NO whaling is NOT good. If you are the whaler, you might say it is good because it provides you with a means to support yourself and or your family. As a supporter of Greenpeace, I personally say that whaling is about as good as bludgeoning a baby seal to death. Why don't you google Greenpeace and watch some video's then decide for yourself whether or not it is "good".
Of course. Whaling is SUPER, I LOVE wahling sooo much - I want to grow up and be a part-time whaler :) (I would want to be a full-time whaler, but whaling doesn't pay much!)
Assuming you came here looking for an opinion, I would have to say there are no good sides to whaling. Whales are endangered and should be left alone before they are wiped out. There are other ways to make money. That's not true whales may be endangered but the population is growing very well, around 250 out of 260 whale that where killed by whaling had said to be pregnant so the population is growing well. Whales are very useful resources and they supply food, Cosmetics, Perfume, Lantern and heater oil, shoes and everyday items like umbrellas. they shouldn't be hunted to extinction its bad but if they kill the right amount the population will stay stable or even rise.
Not many. Hunting by humans is the biggest threat to gray whales. Gray Whales have been hunted since the 16th century. Humans have been whaling gray whale species for over 4 decades now. This hunting has significantly reduced the gray whale populations. The north atlantic population of gray whales were totally wiped out due to whaling even before the 19th century. Around 1950, governments worldwide declared the gray whale as an endangered species and banned whaling them
For one, the Iceland nation relies heavily on whaling. So the political enemies would be whaling. Other enemies may be countries such as Afghanistan that oppose such movements as the NATO.
A Nantucket Sleighride is a old whaling term for when one of the small whaling boats (away from the ship) would harpoon a whale, and as the whale sounded, it would tow the boat behind it at some speed, occasionally capsizing the boat. The seas off Nantucket were rich whaling grounds, where many ships would gather, hence the term Nantucket Sleighride. The song is simply about a young man leaving his girlfriend behind a he sailed on a (fruitless) 3 year whaling voyage.
