Praise be to Allaah. Allaah has decreed what He has decreed. One of the pillars of faith is to believe in al-qadaa' wa'l-qadar (the Divine will and decree). Allaah has created people and He knows what they are going to do, because of His vast knowledge. He has given His slaves freedom of will, and has shown us the right path, so whoever does good, it is for his own benefit, and whoever does evil, it will count against him. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning); "So whoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. And whoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it." [al-Zalzalah 99:7-8] And Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): "By Nafs (Adam or a person or a soul), and Him Who perfected him in proportion; Then He showed him what is wrong for him and what is right for him.Indeed he succeeds who purifies his ownself (i.e. obeys and performs all that Allâh ordered…). And indeed he fails who corrupts his ownself (i.e. disobeys what Allâh has ordered …)."[al-Shams 91:7-10] So it is not permissible for him to harm anyone unjustly, whether by killing or in any other way. Whoever does that deserves punishment in this world, and torment in the Hereafter, for going against the laws decreed by Allaah.

The meaning of the terms nab bi?

Praise be to Allah nab bi term is used for prophet (peace and belessing be upon him) Praise be to Allaah. There are a number of views on this issue, one of which is that of Ibn Taymiyah (may Allaah have mercy on him): "A Prophet (Nabi) is one to whom Allaah reveals (yanbi'uhu) something, and he passes on what Allaah has reveals to him. If he is sent with that to those who go against the commandments of Allaah, to convey a message from Allaah to them, then he is a Messenger. But if he follows a sharee'ah that came before him, and is not himself sent to anyone to convey the message from Allaah to them, then he is a Prophet and not a Messenger…" (al-Nubuwwaat, p. 255). Other scholars add different details, but these are the most important of them. And Allaah knows best.

What is the pillar shahsdah about?

What does it mean to bear witness that there is no god except Allaah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah? What it means to bear witness that there is no god except Allaah is to deny that anyone other than Allaah has the right to be worshipped, and to affirm that this is the right of Allaah alone, with no partner or associate. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):"That is because Allaah He is the Truth (the only True God of all that exists, Who has no partners or rivals with Him), and what they (the polytheists) invoke besides Him, it is Baatil (falsehood). And verily, Allaah He is the Most High, the Most Great"[al-Hajj 22:62]So the words laa ilaaha (there is no god) deny all things that are worshipped instead of Allaah, and the words illa Allaah (except Allaah) affirm that all kinds of worship are for Allaah alone. So what they mean is that there is none that is rightfully worshipped except Allaah.Just as Allaah has no partner in His dominion, so too He has no partner in His worship. What it means to bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah is tobelieve firmly, from the depths of one's heart, and express it on one's lips, that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger to all of creation, mankind and the jinn alike. That means believing what he has told us about events in the past, what he has told us about things that are yet to come, what he has permitted of halaal things, what he has forbidden of haraam things; and it means obeying and following what he has commanded, and giving up and avoiding what he has forbidden, following his laws, adhering to his Sunnah in secret and in the open, accepting and submitting to his judgements, and knowing that obedience to him is obedience to Allaah, and disobedience to him is disobedience to Allaah, because he is the one who conveyed the Message from Allaah, and Allaah did not cause him to die until He had perfected the religion, and he conveyed it clearly. May Allaah reward him on behalf of us with the best reward that was ever given to any Prophet on behalf of his people and any Messenger on behalf of his nation.A person can only enter Islam by uttering this twin testimony of faith; its two parts are intertwined and cannot be separated. For the conditions of testifying that there is no god but Allaah are the same as the conditions of testifying that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah. These, along with the evidence for them, are mentioned in questions no. 9014 and 12295.And Allaah knows best.Sheikh Muhammed Salih Al-Munajjid

What is meant by Salat ul Kasoof?

Salat ul Kusoof means the Prayer of the Eclipse Eclipses are signs from Allaah by means of which Allaah makes His slaves afraid. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): "And We sent not the signs except to warn, and to make them afraid (of destruction)" [al-Israa' 17:39] During the Jaahiliyyah, people used to believe that eclipses happened to mark the birth or death of a great person, but the Messenger of Allaah SAWS (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) declared this belief to be false and explained the divine wisdom behind the occurrence of eclipses: Imaam al-Bukhaari and Muslim narrated that Ibn Mas'ood al-Ansaari said: "the sun was eclipsed the day Ibraaheem the son of the Messenger of Allaah SAWS (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) died, and the people said, 'The sun is eclipsed because of the death of Ibraaheem.' The Messenger of Allaah SAWS (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: 'The sun and the moon are two signs from Allaah, and they do not become eclipsed for the death or the birth of anyone. If you see that, hasten to remember Allaah and to pray.'"

Is namaz-e-janaza wajib on people who do suicide?

Praise be to Allaah. Suicide is a major sin. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) stated that the one who commits suicide will be punished with something like that with which he killed himself. Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Whoever throws himself down from a mountain and kills himself will be in the Fire of Hell, throwing himself down therein for ever and ever. Whoever takes poison and kills himself, his poison will be in his hand and he will be sipping it in the Fire of Hell for ever and ever. Whoever kills himself with a piece of iron, that piece of iron will be in his hand and he will be stabbing himself in the stomach with it in the Fire of Hell, for ever and ever." Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5442; Muslim, 109. It was narrated from Thaabit ibn al-Dahhaak (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Whoever kills himself with something in this world will be punished with it on the Day of Resurrection." Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5700; Muslim, 110. It was narrated that Jundub ibn 'Abd-Allaah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Among those who came before you there was a man who was wounded and he panicked, so he took a knife and cut his hand with it, and the blood did not stop flowing until he died. Allaah said: 'My slave hastened to bring about his demise; I have forbidden Paradise to him." Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 3276; Muslim, 113. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) refrained from offering the funeral prayer for one who had committed suicide, as a punishment to him and so as to deter others from doing what he had done. But he gave the people permission to offer the funeral prayer for him, so it is Sunnah for the people of knowledge and virtue not to offer the funeral prayer for one who has committed suicide, following the example of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). It was narrated that Jaabir ibn Samurah (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: A man who had killed himself with a broad arrow-head was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and he did not offer the funeral prayer for him. Narrated by Muslim, 978. This hadeeth is evidence for those who say that the funeral prayer should not be offered for one who killed himself because of his sin. This is the view of 'Umar ibn 'Abd al-'Azeez and al-Awzaa'i. But al-Hasan, al-Nakha'i, Qataadah, Maalik, Abu Haneefah, al-Shaafa'i and the majority of scholars said that the funeral prayer should be offered for him. They responded to this hadeeth by pointing out that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) did not offer the funeral prayer for him himself so as to deter the people from doing something similar, but the Sahaabah offered the funeral prayer for him. End quote. Sharh Muslim, 7/47

Why did Prophet Muhammad fast on Monday and Thursday?

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Deeds are shown (to Allaah) on Mondays and Thursdays, and I like my deeds to be shown when I am fasting.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 747; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Targheeb, 1041.

Is chess haram?

It is haraam according to the majority of scholars, the remaining say that it is simply makrooh. There are many narrations that portray chess as haram:It was narrated that 'Ali ibn Abi Taalib (may Allaah be pleased with him) passed by some people who were playing chess. He said, "What are these images, to which you are devoted?'Abd-Allaah ibn 'Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) was asked about chess and he said, "It is worse than dice [referring to backgammon]."Abu Dawood (4938) narrated from Abu Moosa al-Ash'ari that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Whoever plays dice has disobeyed Allaah and His Messenger."

What is Salaatul Haajat?

The so-called Salaat al-Haajah was narrated in da'eef (weak) or munkar (denounced) ahaadeeth - as far as we know - which cannot be used as proof and which are not fit to base acts of worship on."From 'Abd-Allaah ibn Abi Awfa al-Aslami, who said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came out to us and said: 'Whoever has need of something from Allaah or any one of His creation, let him do wudoo' and pray two rak'ahs, then let him say, "There is no god but Allaah, the Forbearing, the Most Generous. Glory be to Allaah, Lord of the mighty Throne. Praise be to Allaah the Lord of the Worlds. O Allaah, I ask You for Your mercy and forgiveness and I ask You for all good things and for safety from all sins. I ask You not to leave any sin without forgiving it, or any distress without relieving it, or any need which it pleases You to fulfil without fulfilling it for me." Then let him ask Allaah for whatever matter of this world or the Hereafter that he wishes, for it will be fulfilled."

Who is the Islam monotheism?

Praise be to Allaah. Praise be to Allaah and blessings and peace be upon His Messenger and Chosen Prophet. Tawheed in Arabic means attributing Oneness to Allaah and describing Him as being One and Unique, with no partner or peer in His Essence and Attributes. The Arabs say waahid, ahad and waheed, all meaning one. Allaah is Waahid, meaning that He has no rivals or peers in any way. So Tawheed means knowing Allaah is One, with none like unto Him. Whoever does not acknowledge Allaah in these terms and does not describe Him as being One with no partner or associate does not believe in Tawheed. With regard to the shar'i definition of Tawheed, it means believing in Allaah alone as God and Lord and attributing to Him alone all the attributes of Lordship and divinity. It may be defined as follows: Believing that Allaah is One with no partner or associate in His Lordship (ruboobiyyah), divinity (uloohiyyah) or names and attributes (al-asma' wa'l-sifaat). This word (Tawheed) and its derivatives are used with this meaning in the Qur'aan and Sunnah. For example: Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): "Say (O Muhammad): He is Allaah, (the) One [Ahad]. 2. Allaah‑us‑Samad [Allaah - the Self‑Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, (He neither eats nor drinks)]. 3. He begets not, nor was He begotten. 4. And there is none co‑equal or comparable unto Him" [al-Ikhlaas 112:1-3] "And your Ilaah (God) is One Ilaah [ilaahun waahidun] (God - Allaah), Laa Ilaaha illa Huwa (there is none who has the right to be worshipped but He), the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful" [al-Baqarah 2:163] "Surely, disbelievers are those who said: 'Allaah is the third of the three (in a Trinity).' But there is no Ilaah (god) (none who has the right to be worshipped) but One Ilaah [ilaahun waahidun] (God -Allaah). And if they cease not from what they say, verily, a painful torment will befall on the disbelievers among them" [al-Maa'idah 5:73] And there are many similar verses. In Saheeh al-Bukhaari (7372) and Saheeh Muslim (19) it is narrated that Ibn 'Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) sent Mu'aadh ibn Jabal to Yemen, he said to him: "You are going to people from among the People of the Book, so let the first thing to which you call them be belief in Allaah alone (Tawheed). If they accept that, then tell them that Allaah has enjoined on them five prayers every day and night. If they pray then tell them that Allaah has enjoined on them zakaah from their wealth to be taken from their rich and given to their poor. If they agree to that then take it from them but avoid the best of people's wealth." In Saheeh Muslim it is narrated from Ibn 'Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Islam is built on five (pillars): belief that Allaah is One, establishing regular prayer, paying zakaah, fasting Ramadaan and Hajj." What is meant by Tawheed in all these texts is affirming the meaning of the testimony that there is no god but Allaah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah, which is the essence of the religion of Islam with which Allaah sent His Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), based on the evidence of the words of the Qur'aan and Sunnah. In some versions of the hadeeth of Mu'aadh quoted above it says: "You will come to some people from among the People of the Book so when you come to them, call them to bear witness that there is no god except Allaah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah." Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 1492. According to another version of the hadeeth of Ibn 'Umar: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Islam is based on five (pillars): the testimony that there is no god except Allaah and that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger..." Narrated by Muslim, 16. This indicates that Tawheed is the essence of the testimony that there is no god except Allaah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah, and that this is Islam with which Allaah sent His Prophet to the two races of mankind and the jinn, other than which Allaah will not accept any religion from anyone. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): "Truly, the religion with Allaah is Islam" [Aal 'Imraan 3:19] "And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers" [Aal 'Imraan 3:85] Once this is understood, it should be noted that the scholars have divided Tawheed into three categories, as follows: Tawheed al-Ruboobiyyah (Oneness of Divine Lordship), Tawheed al-Uloohiyyah (Oneness of Divinity) and Tawheed al-Asma' wa'l-Sifaat (Oneness of the Divine Names and Attributes). Tawheed al-Ruboobiyyah (Oneness of Divine Lordship): means believing in Allaah as One and Unique with regard to His actions such as creation, sovereignty, control, giving life and death, and so on. There is a great deal of evidence to support this in the Qur'aan and Sunnah. See question no. 13532 to learn some of it. Whoever believes that there is any creator other than Allaah or any sovereign controlling this universe and disposing of its affairs other than Allaah has denied this aspect of Tawheed and disbelieved in Allaah. The kuffaar of old accepted this aspect of Tawheed in general terms, although they differed with regard to some of its details. The evidence that they used to accept this is to be found in several verses of the Qur'aan such as the following (interpretation of the meaning): "And if you were to ask them: 'Who has created the heavens and the earth and subjected the sun and the moon?' they will surely reply: 'Allaah.' How then are they deviating (as polytheists and disbelievers)?" [al-'Ankaboot 29:61] "And if you were to ask them: 'Who sends down water (rain) from the sky, and gives life therewith to the earth after its death?' they will surely reply: 'Allaah.' Say: 'All the praises and thanks be to Allaah!' Nay, most of them have no sense" [al-'Ankaboot 29:63] "And if you ask them who created them, they will surely say: 'Allaah.' How then are they turned away (from the worship of Allaah Who created them)?" [al-Zukhruf 43:87] In these verses Allaah states that the kuffaar affirm that He is the Creator, Sovereign and Controller, but despite that they do not worship Him alone (Tawheed of worship), which points to the graveness of their wrongdoing and lies, and the weakness of their reasoning. For if there is One Who is described in such terms, none should be worshipped except Him alone and none should be described as being one and unique except Him; may He be glorified above those that they associate with him. So whoever affirms this Tawheed in the true sense must inevitably also affirm the Oneness of Allaah's Divinity (Tawheed al-Uloohiyyah). Tawheed al-Uloohiyyah means devoting all acts of worship, both inward and outward, in word and deed, to Allaah Alone, and not worshipping anything or anyone other than Allaah, no matter who he is. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): "And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him" [al-Isra' 17:23] "Worship Allaah and join none with Him (in worship)" [al-Nisa' 4:36] It may be described as devoting all one's actions to Allaah alone. It is called Tawheed al-Uloohiyyah because it is based on ta'alluh lillaah which is worship and devotion of Allaah accompanied by love and veneration. It is also called Tawheed al-'Ibaadah (oneness of worship) because it means that a person worships Allaah by doing that which He has commanded and avoiding that which He has forbidden. It is also called Tawheed al-Talab wa'l-Qasd wa'l-Iraadah (Oneness of goal, purpose and will) because it means that a person does not seek anything except the Face of Allaah, so he worships Him sincerely. This is the kind of Tawheed concerning which people went astray, which is why the Prophets were sent and the Books were revealed. This is the purpose for which the universe was created and laws were prescribed. Concerning this disputes arose between the Prophets and their peoples, so the stubborn were doomed and the believers were saved. Whoever goes astray with regard to this Tawheed, such as devoting some of his worship to someone other than Allaah, has gone beyond the pale of Islam and drifted away from true belief. May Allaah protect us from that. With regard to Tawheed al-Asma' wa'l-Sifaat (Oneness of the Divine Names and Attributes), this means affirming the names and attributes of Allaah and believing that there is none like unto Allaah in His names and attributes. This Tawheed is based on two principles: 1 - Affirmation: i.e., affirming that which Allaah has affirmed for Himself in His Book or that His Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) has affirmed of His beautiful names and sublime attributes in a manner that suits the Majesty and Greatness of Allaah, without distorting them, twisting their meanings, denying their reality or discussing how they are. 2 - Denial: i.e., denying that Allaah has any faults and denying any shortcomings that He has denied Himself. The evidence for that is the words of Allaah (interpretation of the meaning): "There is nothing like Him, and He is the All‑Hearer, the All‑Seer" [al-Shoora 42:11] So He has denied that He bears any resemblance to His creation, and affirmed that He has attributes of perfection in a manner that befits Him, may He be glorified. What scripture explains sex before marriage?

Praise be to Allaah Zina (fornication, adultery) is a serious crime and a major sin which takes away the quality of faith from a person, and exposes him to punishment and humiliation unless he repents. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): "And come not near to unlawful sex. Verily, it is a Faahishah (i.e. anything that transgresses its limits: a great sin, and an evil way that leads one to hell unless Allaah Forgives him)" [al-Isra' 17:32] and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "No adulterer is a believer at the time when he is committing adultery" Narrated by al-Bukhaari (2475) and Muslim (57). And he (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "If a man commits zina, faith comes out of him and hovers over him like a cloud, then when he stops, faith returns to him." Narrated by Abu Dawood (4960) and al-Tirmidhi (2625); classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) has told us of the punishment that those who commit zina will receive in their graves before the Hour begins, and that they will be punished with fire. Narrated by al-Bukhaari (1320). Because of the abhorrent nature of this crime, Allaah has decreed that the punishment for it should be stoning to death if the person is married and flogging if he was not married. The one who is faced with any such thing should hasten to repent to Allaah and do a lot of good deeds, in the hope that Allaah will forgive him. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): "And those who invoke not any other ilaah (god) along with Allaah, nor kill such person as Allaah has forbidden, except for just cause, nor commit illegal sexual intercourse ___ and whoever does this shall receive the punishment. 69. The torment will be doubled to him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace; 70. Except those who repent and believe (in Islamic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds; for those, Allaah will change their sins into good deeds, and Allaah is Oft‑Forgiving, Most Merciful" [al-Furqaan 25:68-70] "And verily, I am indeed forgiving to him who repents, believes (in My Oneness, and associates none in worship with Me) and does righteous good deeds, and then remains constant in doing them (till his death)" [Ta-Ha 20:82] They must also conceal themselves with the concealment of Allaah, and not tell anyone about that, The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Avoid these filthy things that Allaah has forbidden. Whoever has done any of them, let him conceal himself with the concealment of Allaah, may He be glorified and exalted." Narrated by al-Bayhaqi and classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in al-Silsilah al-Saheehah, no. 663. Islam Q&A Source: http://www.islamqa.com/en/ref/96460/

What are the types of shirk?

In the Arabic language, Tawheed literally means "unification" (making something one) or "asserting oneness", and it comes from the Arabic verb (Wahhada) which itself means to unite, unify or consolidate. However, when the term Tawheed is used in reference to Allaah, it means the realizing and maintaining of Allaah's Unity in all of man's actions which directly or indirectly relate to Him. It is the belief that Allaah is One, without partner in His Dominion and His actions (Ruboobiyyah), One without similitude in His Essence and Attributes (Asmaa' Was-Sifaat), and One without rival in His Divinity and in Worship (Uloohiyyah).Tawheed (Islamic Monotheism) can be invalidated by some actions of the heart, tongue or the body. Some scholars have counted these nullifiers to be ninety, and some others up to four hundred, but the theme of all of them is based on the following ten:1- Shirk (polytheism):Shirk can be simply defined as: "Associating others with Allaah in worship". Allaah Almighty Says (what means):"Verily, Allaah forgives not that partners should be set up with Him (in worship), but He forgives except that (anything else) to whom He wills." [Quran 4:48]The Messenger of Allaah, Muhammad said: "Avoid the seven destructing sins." It was said (by the listeners), "What are they, O Messenger of Allaah?" He replied by mentioning seven things, the first of which was: "Associating anything with Allaah…" [Al-Bukhaari and Muslim]· Shirk can be committed regarding each category of Tawheed. Thus, Shirk of Uloohiyyah is by praying to others, supplicating to them, prostrating before them, slaughtering in their name, seeking their help in things which only Allaah Almighty can do, calling on them or devoting any type of worship to other than Allaah.A noteworthy point to highlight is that seeking people's help in matters that are not exclusive to Allaah is permissible, such as seeking someone's help to carry something.· Shirk of Ruboobiyyah is by ascribing, to any of the creation, management or control of the universe. For example: believing that someone or something can create, resurrect, give sustenance, move the clouds, bring down rain, move the wind, etc, of the things which only Allaah Almighty can do .· Shirk of Names is by calling someone by any of the Names of Allaah, such as naming someone Allaah, Ar-Rahmaan (The Most Merciful) or Al-Khaaliq (The Creator). Shirk of Attributes is to equate the creation with The Creator in His Attributes, such as believing that a certain person or Jinn knows the future, etc.· Shirk of Love: This is another type of Shirk which means to love a creation as you love Allaah, or even more so. Allaah Says in the Quran (what means): "And of mankind are some who take [for worship] others besides Allaah as rivals [to Him]. They love them as they love Allaah. But those who believe, love Allaah more [than anything else]." [Quran 2:165].Ibn Taymiyyah said: "Whosoever loves a creation equal to his love to Allaah, is a Mushrik (polytheist) …"The different types of love:Firstly: loving for the sake of Allaah and loving what Allaah and His Messenger love. This is how a Muslim should be. Ibn Al-Qayyim said about this type of love: "There are four types of love where one must differentiate between …They are:A: Loving Allaah only. This is not enough for surviving Allaah's punishment and winning His reward. Indeed, the polytheists, the Christians, the Jews and others love the Creator (each according to their definition).B: Loving what Allaah loves. This leads one to enter Islam and depart infidelity. The most beloved ones by Allaah are those who posses much of this type of love.C: Loving for the sake of Allaah. This is a requirement of loving what Allaah loves.D: Loving with Allaah. This is the Shirk of Love. Everyone who loves something with the love of Allaah, not for the sake of Allaah, then he has associated a partner with Him.Secondly: loving lawful things, such as food, clothes or drinks. This love is normal.Thirdly: sympathetic loving, such as loving your children or wife. This love is normal.Fourthly: loving others equal or more than the love of Allaah. This is major Shirk."2- Rendering mediators between one and Allaah to supplicate them, request from them intercession or depend on them:This constitutes apostasy as it is unanimously agreed upon by the Muslim scholars : Many people who claim to be Muslims practice this false action. They believe that one must take mediators between them and Allaah to answer their calls, grant them their requests or remove hardships off them. Allaah Says (what means): "Say [O, Muhammad to the pagans] call upon those whom you assert [to be associate gods] besides Allaah; they possess not even an atom's weight either in the heavens or on the earth, nor have they any share in either, nor there is for Him any supporter from among them. Intercession with Him profits not except for him whom He permits."[Quran 34:22-23]Intermediation is of two kinds:1. Intermediation informing on behalf of Allaah:This is the duty of the Prophets may Allaah exalt their mention because no one has knowledge of what has come from Allaah except through the Prophets who were sent by Allaah. Allaah Says (what means): "Allaah chooses Messengers from angels and from men. Verily, Allaah is All-Hearer, All-Seer." [Quran 22:75]2. Intermediation requesting help, intercession, dependence and relief. This type consists of five sections:- Waajib (Obligatory): Seeking help from Allaah alone at times of hardship and trusting Him in every aspect of your life.- Mustahabb (preferred): Invoking Allaah more frequently as this increases one's sincerity to Him.- Halaal (permissible): Seeking help from the creation or requesting their intermediation to Allaah by supplicating Allaah to help or relieve the person.- Makrooh (disliked, but not forbidden): Asking people for favors more often. Ibn Taymiyyah said: "Asking favors from the creation is originally forbidden, but it was made legal for necessity and avoiding requesting favors from others while depending on Allaah is better..."- Muharram (forbidden): Ascribing mediators between Allaah and oneself by supplicating to them or seeking their help in things only Allaah can do.3- Not agreeing that the atheists are disbelievers or doubting their disbelief or believing that their religion is correct. This nullifier consists, in turn, of three parts:Firstly, whosoever does not agree that the atheists are disbelievers, while Allaah announces in the Quran in many verses that they are indeed infidels.Allaah Says in the Quran (what means), "Indeed, they who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein." [Quran 98:6]Secondly, whosoever hesitates in the status of the infidels (i.e. he is not sure they are disbelievers or not).Thirdly, whosoever praises the faith of the infidels and believes that their faith is correct and that they are on the right path; This type is even worse than the first two. There are two points that must be mentioned here:1- By infidels here, we mean those about whose disbelief there is no doubt, like those who worship humans or any false gods other than Allaah and those who claim to be Muslims, but who are ruled by the majority of the Muslim scholars to be disbelievers, such as people who believe that a prophet was sent after Prophet Muhammad salllallaahu alayhi WA sallam, or deny the Day of Resurrection.Ibn Taymiyyah said: "Whosoever doubts the disbelief of such groups after having knowledge of what they say and knowing how Islam classifies such people, is an infidel; just as having doubt in the disbelief of the atheists." But for those about whose infidelity the scholars dispute, such as the one who abandons the five daily prayers without rejecting its obligation; this does not fall under this nullifier.2- In regards to praising the infidels, the Muslim must take great care. If praising them concerns their faith, then this is considered infidelity. Whereas praising their behavior (such as their courage or their generosity) is permissible. One thing a Muslim must avoid, which is considered sinful, is to call an infidel "master" as the Messenger said: "When you call the hypocrite 'master' (or any title that suggests honoring the addressed person, like 'your highness, your majesty', etc) you have made your Lord angry." [Al-Haakim]4- Believing that the guidance of others is more perfect than the Guidance (Sunnah) of the Prophet or believing that the judgment of others is better than his judgment; such as those who prefer the judgment of others over his ruling."There are two issues in this nullifier. The first is that there is no doubt that the guidance of Prophet Muhammad is more perfect than any other since it is a Divine Revelation. Allaah Says in the Quran (what means): "Nor does he (Muhammad) speak of (his own) desire. It is only a revelation revealed." [Quran 53:3-4]. How could someone believe that there is another guidance worthy of being followed, when the Prophet himself used to say in the Friday sermon: "The best of speech is the Book of Allaah, and the best of guidance is the guidance given by Muhammad. And the most evil affairs are innovations; and every innovation is misguidance." [Muslim]The second issue is judging by laws other than what Allaah has revealed. In the Quran, Allaah describes those judging by laws other than His as disbelievers. He Says (what means), "And whosoever does not judge by what Allaah has revealed, such are the disbelievers." [Quran 5:44]. (Also, see Quran 5:45 and Quran 5:47.) So, how would someone abandon the laws prescribed by Allaah and replace them by those made by human beings? This is -without doubt- a senseless and illogical choice. And he who does this is a disbeliever in Allaah and His Messenger . Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Saalih Al-'Uthaymeen said regarding this issue: "Judging by laws other than those revealed by Allaah can be divided into two sections:1. Attempting to replace what Allaah has revealed with man-made laws or those of a Taaghoot (false deity). This is infidelity, because he who does so attempts to place himself in the position of The Creator by legislating for the people, when he, in fact, has no authority.2. Keeping what Allaah has revealed intact and leaving its legislation for leaders (rulers, presidents, kings, etc.) who judge by man-made laws. From these there are three situations:- A leader judging by laws that contradict what Allaah has revealed, believing that they are equal or better. This is considered infidelity.- A leader judging by man-made laws in order to harm the one whom he has made the judgment against. In this case, the ruler is not an infidel, but rather he is an oppressor, because he still believes that what Allaah has revealed is superior to all laws and knows that his actions are disobedient.- A leader avoiding judging by what Allaah has revealed in order to expose some inner desires or to benefit himself or someone else. This is a major sin".

Sayings of the prophet on generosity?

Allaah's Messenger(p.b.u.h.) said: ((Verily Allaah is Generous and loves generosity. He loves noble character and He hates disgraceful behavior.)) [Recorded by At-Tabarani, Al-Bayhaqi, and Al-Hakim. Az-Zayn Al-'Iraqi said its chain is Sahih, see Al-Ihya' 3:239] Allaah's Messenger(p.b.u.h.) said: ((There should be no envy except it the case of two: A man whom Allaah gives wealth, so he is able to spend it on the truth, and a man whom Allaah gives wisdom so he judges and teaches with it.)) [Related by Al-Bukhari] Allaah's Messenger(p.b.u.h.) said: ((Which of you loves the wealth of his heir more than his own wealth?)) The Companions said: "O Allaah's Messenger! There is none of us but loves his own wealth more." He(p.b.u.h) said: ((His wealth is that which he has sent forward, but that which he retains, belongs to his heir.)) [Al-Bukhari] Allaah's Messenger(p.b.u.h.) said: ((Beware of stinginess! It was being stingy that destroyed those before you. It incited them to shed blood and make lawful what was prohibited for them.)) [Muslim] Allaah's Messenger(p.b.u.h.) said: ((There is no day that dawns upon the servants but two angels descend during it. One of them says, 'O Allaah! Give to the person who gives(in charity)' ; while the other one says, 'O Allaah! Destroy the one who withholds(charity, ect.).)) [Al-Bukhari]
