No.....
I have a Basset Hound and since they are short and gentle, I would say they would be they prey.
i honestly say that i would have to go with a pit bull because they're tougher and for some people scary but if u want the droopy and cute hound, it would have to be basset hound, so technically it depends on if you like tough or cute.
Poodles are known to have existed since the 1400's. The first known mention of a Basset hound was in 1585. This would suggest that poodles are probably a little bit older.
Well yes, I happen to have a basset hound named Dottie. Her ears, head, and feet are the most smelliest. So, I would say clean the basset hound's ears? Or her head and feet?(btw clean the ears with alcohol or like those ear cleaning liquid.) Hope this helps! :)
Because of an injury or arthritis. If the limping continues, see your vet.
This is definitely a possibility as almost all pedigree English Bulldog litters have to be born through a caesarian. However, there is a chance that the Basset Hound genes will overwrite the Bulldog genes in the puppies and give them smaller heads - in this case, a caesarian may not be needed. It would be wise to prepare for the mother to have a caesarian just in case, so put some money aside because they are usually expensive.
for godsake this one is too popularBULLDOG! haa cannot think of anymorebut i hope this helped (:
basset hound a little dog tends to be liver and white with long droopy ears very cute and calm/lazy :)
It depends on what you were doing, if its cuteness, basset, if its good with children, basset. Bassets are dogs which are cute and reliable beagles are similar but in my opinion not as cute. Bassets would win a scent trail as they were originally bred for hunting and their nose is one of the best in the dog world. If looking to by a dog I would buy a basset, although beagles would be cheaper as insurance is cheaper for them because bassets are more likely to develop joint problems.
Online is a great resource to tool to find information on how to raise basset hound puppies. There are many terrific sites that offer alot of tips, and techniques on how to raise your puppy to be obedient. Another resource would be visit your local library where many books can be found on raising puppies of a variety of breeds.
Yes, the breed of dog called the Basset Hound originated in France. They used the dogs while hunting. The dog, who has the second most sharp nose of all the dog breeds, would sniff out animals in the brush. They would scare the animals out so that their hunting companion could get a shot at them.
Yes, this is possible, but the Bulldog would likely need human assistance as they have lost most of their capability to mate independently. Matings between two Bulldogs need humans on hand because the Bulldog breed can no longer mate without assistance, nor give birth without a caesarian. These problems may be present in a mating with a Basset Hound.
