whichever it originally came with. the locking was not so common.
The 2000 model Nissan central locking unit is located in the center console, next to the shifter. The center console will need to be removed in order to view the locking unit.
open the doors and spray the locking mechanisms withwd40
non locking ends with (A) call 919-489-3800
call a locksmith
Some do,. some dont it depends on the model. Most of the later n16s do
Check VIN number. If VIN ends with "A" it's an open diff. If last letter of VIN is "V" it's an LSD, limited slip or locking differential.
It's for the locking hubs, enabling the switch to four wheel drive.
under the passenger seat, there is a small locking mechanism. Unlock that and lift the seat up. There is a small panel with all the details...
i was able to do this by going to the fuse box under the bonnet and removing the power windows fuse, 25A 32v
Sounds like a dead battery to me. Put the batt on a charger (Autozone...a must have for the amatuer mechanic)and give it a charge. Actually put your multi tester leads on the batt first to see what voltage you have.
Refer to the transmission code printed on the information sticker on the drivers door pillar (structure where upper hinge bolts to). RE4F04V = lockingRE4F04A = nonlocking Warning: The transmission could have been previously replaced with the other type.
