The poles are imaginay points, and can't melt.

If the pollar ice caps were to melt, it probably would not be enough to put all of

the Dominican Republic under the sea, since the country includes a serious range

of mountains that separates it from Haiti.

The islands of the south Pacific are another matter. Over there, they've been

seeing it happen for years now, and they don't have that much left to go.
