To become a Supervisor on WikiAnswers, you must be at least 15 years of age.
Well, you have to apply to be a supervisor. Then you have to complete certain tasks to become a supervisor. If you are interested in becoming a supervisor message Mystery Mania or other Supervisors for the contact information.Existing Supervisors are always looking for people to become Supervisors, so if someone's answering and other work appears to be quite good, sometimes a person will be asked to become a Supervisor without applying. That can happen very quickly for the right people, even within days of them starting to use the site.
If someone is being abusive or posting inappropriate contributions on Wiki Answers, they should be reported to a supervisor immediately. Only supervisors can block a user. Don't take on the user yourself if you are not a supervisor. Visit the links below for more advice and information.
That's actually two different things. Supervisors are nominated and selected by other supervisors. A Ruby contributor is someone who has made 500,000 contributions, be they a supervisor or not.

To become a supervisor you have to be nominated by someone that is already a supervisor. Then other supervisors will evaluate your questions, answers, and other actions. You can ask a supervisor to look over your activity and nominate you.
A regular contributor is someone who does not have Supervisor status, or CA status.
Only certain Supervisors (Advanced Supervisors) and Community Assistants can edit profiles of other members. If a profile is inappropriate, please send an email to WikiAnswers @ Answers.com (remove spaces)
The Supervisor's Forum is a place for Supervisors only to discuss pertinent issues on the site. For example, if there is a bug or a very problematic contributor or there should be a new category. Within the forum, all of the various types of discussions are separated by these categories: Bug Reports, Categorization Discussion, etc. If a Supervisor has an issue, he/she can check first to see if someone already has a discussion going and add a post to that. If not, he/she make a whole new discussion with the first post. It is worth noting that only Supervisors have access to view or write posts in the Supervisors' Forum.
Supervisors are chosen either for their knowledge posted in their answers, or for their conduct. I, personally was chosen because of my extensive knowledge of reptiles. I had NO idea people were actually monitoring my contributions - until I received a message asking if I'd like to be a supervisor !
Only supervisors can unblock someone, but users are blocked for a reason and are rarely unblocked. The user themselves can email Wikianswers if they believe they have been unfairly blocked.
