Would the transmission need to be replaced on a 2000 Honda Passport if the gears are slipping?

Hi, the trans front pump bolts have become loose. but if it has been slipping for a while then tigntening the bolts will not help you will have to replace it.

AnswerIt could be your boot or seal around the transmission.My 2002 passport was leaking from the front pan, the transmission has a front and rear pan and the gasket had to be replaced.

If the gears are slipping on a 1995 Honda Civic then the transmission is worn. The transmission will either soon need to be replaced or repaired.
