Hi, the trans front pump bolts have become loose. but if it has been slipping for a while then tigntening the bolts will not help you will have to replace it.
The 4x4 slipping means that the transmission for the 4 wheel drive is not engaging like it should. The 1996 Honda might need to have the trans-axle repaired.
If the gears are slipping on a 1995 Honda Civic then the transmission is worn. The transmission will either soon need to be replaced or repaired.
The 1994 Honda Passport transmission is compatible with the 1997 Honda Passport. The transmissions are exactly the same for each model year.
I have a 2000 Honda Passport that is just about to be fitted with a 1999 transmission, I will let you know soon..er..or later!
Just had 2002 Honda Passport transmission rebuilt for $2,100 National transmission chain store
It may not have a dipstick for the transmission fluid. Have to take it to a garage. My Honda Passport 2001 is in this category.
AnswerIt could be your boot or seal around the transmission. My 2002 passport was leaking from the front pan, the transmission has a front and rear pan and the gasket had to be replaced.
there is no dip stick in a Honda passport 2001 closed system
i can tell you that a rodeo should be the same and that at least in the 97 passport the transmission is GM the transmissions should all be the 4l30e it might bolt up.
It depends on what type of engine and transmission the Passport has.
I owe a 98 Honda Passport and the Transmission Fluid had to be pumped directly in the transmission. I had to take mine to a shop. Yes, the transmission on a 1998 Honda Passport is a sealed transmission, which means it has no dipstick and it only has one plug located underneathe the vehicle on the transmission itself. You have to drain and fill the transmission through the same hole. So you need to take it to a shop where they have a machine which will do this.
