Pearl Harbor was attacked to remove the threat of US interference of Japanese conquests.
After they attacked Pearl Harbor, they would attack Australia of course.(After they got more troops that is)
everything would say made in japan
Probably not!
Even before the U.S. went to war and Pearl Harbor happened FDR was giving Britain ships and war supplies under the Lend-Lease Act. No one really knows if they would have gone to war but eventually, something would have happened.
When the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor they came out of the sun or the East so that it would look like they were coming from America at first.
The US would have still gone to war; Japan also attacked the Philippines.
The tragedy was an UNPREPARED US Fleet being attacked. If the US Forces had been READY & WAITING, Pearl Harbor would have gone down in history as a "Common Battle", instead of a "Tragedy."
It was basically Pearl Harbor. The majority of the US was isolationist before Pearl Harbor but the unexpected attack on Pearl Harbor changed everything. Now the whole country was in an uproar, and army sign-up stations were filling by the thoisands. Now, the US was hungry for revenge.
Pearl Harbor is on one of the islands of Hawaii.
Japan did issue a declaration of war to the US, with the idea that Pearl Harbor would be attacked before defenses could be mobilized. It backfired on them terribly because the declaration was not translated from Japanese to English until after the attack. If Japan had declared war and then attacked Pearl Harbor the next day, damage would have been much less and Japanese losses much higher. The success of the attack, on which Japanese strategy in the Pacific was based, depended on surprise.
Pearl Harbor was a Naval Operation.
