What is a good team for gym leaders in Pokemon Soulsilver?
It largely depends on your fighting style, and your starter. I started out with Cyndaquil, and caught a Heracross, Pidgey (which i evolved to a Pidgeot), claimed an Abra in the game corner, (which i evolved, with the help of a friend, into an Alakazam), caught Suicune and Sudowoodo. That was my Johto/ E4 team, and for Kanto i used Typhlosion, Heracross, Pidgeot, Alakazam, and caught Larvitar and Dranti, which eventually(!) evolved into Tyranitar and Dragonite :)

I don't know if there is a 'best' team, but I always use Mewtwo, Venasaur, Moltres, Articuno, Tyranitar, and Dragonite. I can't get Zapdos because my brother killed it then saved. But if you catch him/her, you should use it in place of Tyranitar.
