No, the Arctic fox is a wild animal and shouldn't be kept as pets.
Of course the question is "can you" not "should you."
Actually, yes, you can keep an Arctic fox as a pet. It is completely legal in the US to buy a domesticated fox cub from a breeder and take it into your home. Whether or not your state allows it is another story.
Even though you can purchase an arctic fox as a pet, they are still an exotic animal and are "eccentric," which I am reading as needing lots of training and care.
Answer
look i know they're adorable and fluffy (FLUFFY!!!!!) but before you even ask if your allowed to have one think about how unhappy it'd be in Australia. They were made for cold Arctic wheat-her not hot Australia I live in the Northern US and even here where its effin
cold in the winter the pet arctic foxes that i know of are uncomfortable in the summertime even though some of their coats change (depending on the gen.) and have to get their fur cut (depending on area and coat thickness) and no groomer will cut their fur. So you really need to think about the animal before you think about yourself even though i really do get where your coming from ..... andtheir expensive and need to be trained super well and its better if they're raised from a pup
Sorry, but no the only foxes you can have in GA is a Tame Silver Fox or a Fennec Fox BUT If you get the documentation from the breeder you buy it from then the state probably wont care ( The birth certificate, the vet certificate saying it has its shots)
Yes, there are foxes throughout the Southeastern US.
The red fox is larger than the Arctic fox and easily able to overcome its smaller cousin.
it would be the arctic fox but the live in very different habbitats
Probably not as an arctic fox lives in the arctic and a red fox lives in: The UK, USA and Ireland.
The desert fox (fennec fox) is a very small animal and would be no match for the much larger arctic fox. They would never meet for such an encounter in nature. The arctic fox is found north of the Arctic Circle and lives in the tundra while the fennec lives in the Sahara.
yes it can swim
bears eat the Arctic fox and arctic fox eats mouse
An Arctic fox is a carnivore.
Both the red fox and the Arctic fox live in the Arctic.
