if somebody knew a person with a fake drivers lis.but had there picture on it. would they have to be caught driving with it. or is that identity theft.would they do jail time.?
This isn't necessarily identity theft, per se, but the possession and/or use of a fake ID is a misdemeanor throughout the US and is a felony in some states - it is best to just wait until you are the legal age to buy liquor or get into clubs, rather than risk a criminal record.

Yes. I think so.Added: Technically you would have to make it up and then TRY TO USE IT to as proof to convince someone you were something, or someone, that you weren't. HOWEVER - BE VERY CAREFUL - just the possession of a false ID can be probable cause that you are carrying it to commit fraud. Why else would you have it?
