I do and I and started when I was 13 now 15 today it just depends on the people who you want to babysit for. I was very lucky to have known my neighbors for a long time so when they had their daughter they asked if I could. If your neighbors are not very protective and pretty much isolate their child from the world they will say something to the nature of, "your a child yourself" and believe that pisses me off and i know by 12 most girls, not boys yet, are very mature and responsible so to answer your question it really depends on who you want to babysit, get your parents to reffer you to their friends.

She is also probably of the opinion it is a girls job too-very sad.Seriously? I know several males way more mature then their counterparts little girl. And by the way, 12 is a child and it is illegal for her to babysit! Guess you skated by! And you lucked out because nothing bad happened to the children you were sitting, but trust me, that is not always the case.
