Can you take Tamiflu if im allergic to penicillin?

No. Tamiflu is an anti-viral drug while aspirin is an NSAID (used for inflammation) and penicillin is an antibiotic (doesn't treat viral infections). There's no reason why Tamiflu should contain aspirin or penicillin. However, don't confuse Tamiflu with TM-FLU (completely different drug) which appears to contain penicillin and is a scam/fraudulent product. Do not use TM-FLU. For more info on the TM-FLU scam see the related question below in the related links section.

Where to find Swine Flu medicines?

There are no curative medicines but there are preventive and symptomatic medicines. Tamiflu is one that helps some people if given within two days of the onset of symptoms. It is a prescription medicine you would get ordered by your doctor. For the currently available over the counter symptomatic medicines, ask the pharmacist at your drug store for recommendations for your specific symptoms.

How long does the Swine Flu virus stay in humans after taking Tamiflu?

If you are sick with an influenza illness, like Swine Flu (A-H1N1/09), the symptoms typically resolve after 3-7 days, for most people, without treatment with an anti-viral medication like Tamiflu. By the end of that time, most, if not all, of the virus particles have been destroyed (neutralized) and filtered from your body. With Tamilflu, studies have shown that the recovery is 1.3 days faster for participants taking Tamiflu than those who were given a placebo. So, it would likely follow that the virus would be destroyed and filtered from your body when treated with Tamiflu after 1.7 to 5.7 days. The typical length of time Tamiflu is prescribed is 5 days.

If you have Swine Flu do you have to take Tamiflu?

No, your health care professional will decide if it would be beneficial in your case, and if so, will offer it as an aid to achieving a speedier recovery and less severe symptoms. All adults have the right to refuse treatment, so you could tell your doctor you don't want it; but be sure to ask them why they think it is something that would be good for you before you make a decision. Tamiflu is most effective given within two days of the onset of symptoms. It can be used as a prophylactic (preventive) medicine, too.
