I'm not sure about actually working at one but to volunteer you just have to be over 13 and you have to fill out an application. Hope I helped!
the dog would live in a kennel. That is his shelter, If you would want to adopt a dog you would go to the pound
Yes, it does depend on if the dog had health issues or what the dog's background is. The prices for a shelter dog is relitivly low ,sometimes, compared to a local pet store or breeder, but if you do adopt from a shelter you may be saving a dog's life.
A dog house.
it best not to have puppies with a dog from a dog shelter
Your best bet would be to contact the animal shelter, and see if they have records on the dog. Some animal shelters Microchip their animals, which would be another way of identifying the dog, and the shelter it came from.
If you would like to adopt a dog, you could go to your nearest animal shelter like the Humane Society or ASPCA and tell them that you are thinking about getting a dog. They will tell you about caring for the dog, what you will need, and what paperwork you will need to fill out. I hope this helped, and good luck with your dog.
do you mean your dog is lost? then you must post a picture all over your neighbourhood. If you mean you would like a dog that is compatible for you and your family, go to an animal shelter where they have hundreds of lovely dogs and maybe you will find what suits you. There are literally thousands of animals that need a good home and someone just to love them, you can also volunteer at a shelter, and that way you can see how and what a dog is like.
I would think a true dog lover would get a dog from a rescue or shelter and make sure your matched to fit your personality and life style.
Dog kennels work great for goats. Even those plastic dog igloos work! They can't completely live in them, but it makes a good shelter for a single goat.
To work as a volunteer at a pet shelter would be a great thing to do!!! The animals need human contact and care.Much would depend on the individual shelter. You would have to talk to the people at the shelter. They may require you to have an adult there or they may want you there during "normal" hours. There are many things you could do for a shelter. Many skills can be used besides caring for animals, to include taking pictures, putting them on the shelter web page, passing out information, and helping around the shelter building.Give your local shelter a call.Good luck and thanks for caring for animals
It depends on the shelter
As a volunteer, but not as a paid worker until they are fourteen years old.
