The biggest and most important tip for maintaining the kitchen plumbing is to never pour oil down the drain. Pouring oil down your drain is the worst thing you can do.
oil will pour out. that's what the dipstick is for. Check it and if needed, drain some out.
If you accidentally did that then drain the engine oil out immediately and pour in the correct weight oil.
If you have a garbage disposal - grind up some ice cubes & a whole lemon. Slice the lemon first and leave the skin on it. If you don't have a garbage disposal - pour a box of baking soda down the drain. Let it set for an hour or two and pour boiling water down the drain.
It can do just as much damage as too little oil. Drain out the excess oil.
It won't run properly, you'll have to drain the oil all out.
No. The oil should drain off of the water. Water and oil don't mix, so there would be no contamination. If there is something else mixed with the oil, though, it can possibly mix with the water.
You have serious problems if there was no oil in the crankcase. Are you sure you have removed the oil drain plug? If you have removed the oil drain plug on the bottom of the engine oil pan, then more than likely you have destroyed this engine if you have been driving it with no oil in the system. You should have seen a red oil pressure light come on if that is the case. Remove the filter and see if there was any oil in the filter. Then pour 1 quart of oil or kerosene in the engine with the drain plug removed to see if if comes out the drain. If not, then the drain is clogged and you need to remove the oil pan for inspection. If it does come out, then replace the drain plug and filter, pour in the correct amount of oil and fire it up and see how it runs. You will quickly know if you have a serious problem.
Toss a match in it. Just kidding. Pour it down the storm drain. ^^I can't do that it's illegal. any REAL answers? If it is a small amount, I mix it with my drain oil (5 gallon container)and take it to the drop off center for waste oil.
you have to remove the pan and pour the oil out but once removed you can buy a kit to put a drain plug in it
First DON'T START THE ENGINE If you start the engine the antifreeze will be in the oil filter also Drain the oil out of the oil pan Take some new oil and pour it into the engine a few times and just let it drain out of the engine oil pan Replace the engine oil pan drain plug and then put the proper type of engine oil in ( less the amount the engine oil filter holds ) If you haven't started the engine you should be okay
Varm the engine for five minutes, then park the bike on a flat surface and turn off the engine. Put a large pan under the engine. Losen the oil drain plug and remove it. The oil will pour out into the pan within minutes, be sure to drain all of it out. Re-insert the oil drain plug securely. Remove the distick and pour in the new oil. Measure for correct oil level. Oil filter should also be changed every 2000 km or so. This is done after you drain the old oil and before pouring in the new oil. Check for oil leaks.
