Firstly, a fallacy is a mistaken belief caused by the conscious feeding of false information from one person to another. In other words, if you believe a fallacy you have been duped. Fallacies have no importance whatsoever in successful organizations. Persons who have the gift of garb, are great orators, and have an excellent command of language can use words to entice and persuade others to believe false information. Therefore, in organizations, beware of being fed false information by those who have slick speech and are great orators, since they can use language to feed you a fallacy.
As the major functional areas in many companies are composition of the production/operations, marketing, human resources, accounting, and finance departments, traditional information systems are designed within each functional area to support the area by increasing its internal effectiveness and efficiency. However, as some traditional information systems hierarchical might differed from others, smaller systems, integrated/independent, interfacing, and support at different levels are shared major characteristics they have in common. As reference the makeup, a functional information system consists of several smaller information systems that support specific activities performed in the functional area. As integrated or independent, where it is portray that a specific IS applications in any functional area can be integrated to form a coherent departmental functional system, from where they can be integrated across departmental lines to match a business process or be completely independent. In similar respect, functional information systems may interface internally with each other to form the organization-wide information system or externally systems outside the organization, hence support the three levels of an organization's activities: operational, managerial, and strategic (Turban et al., 2006, p. 248-249). Formal organization is a fixed set of rules of intra-organization procedures and structures. As such, it is usually set out in writing, with a language of rules that ostensibly leave little discretion for interpretation. In some societies and in some organization, such rules may be strictly followed; in others, they may be little more than an empty formalism.Advantages: In formal organization goals are clearly defined, suitable for all type of businesses, task done in time, objective will be clear,Disadvantages: doesn't allow flexibility, doesn't allow long term planing, lesson the scope of creativity.
Humans automatically perceive the world around them. One vital perception in the functionality of an organization is the management's perception on employees. Management has essential roles within each organization. They are the ones that take control and make vital decisions. Management is required to attain goals with the assistance of a team. Managers control the organization's behavior. Thus, managers are required to make the best possible decisions to profit their organization. In order to make the best decisions managers need, "To avoid the many problems associated with "percept" distortions, managers must consciously and reflectively withhold evaluative judgments as long as feasible while they set about trying to obtain additional sensory data" (Baron Research Group, 2003, p.3). Managers must gather as much factual information as they can before making a decision. Every decision a manager makes effects organization behavior. If a manager makes negative decisions the employees will not be satisfied. Unsatisfied employees equal less company productivity. Managers must acknowledge that every person has biases. Managers must also understand people invent their own perception. The perception of others often leads to judging others.
