based on 1000 kB = 1 MB and so on based on 1024 kB = 1 MB and so on
A bit is shorthand for binary digit. Note bit is lower case, Byte is upper case!
4 bits = 1 nibble. 2 nibbles = 1 Byte. nibbles seldom met with.
8 bits = 1 Byte
1,000 Bytes = 1 kB 1024 Bytes = 1 kB
1,000 KB = 1 MB 1024 KB = 1 MB
1,000 MB = 1 GB 1024 MB = 1 GB
1,000 GB = 1 TB 1024 GB = 1 TB
Due to history, kilo is lower case in expressions, whilst other multipliers are upper case! But commonly upper case K is still used.
~and the list goes on~
Don't confuse bits with bytes, ex. 8 Kilobits (Kb) = 1 Kilobyte (KB)
so on with Megabits (Mb) Gigabits (Gb) ...
Answer:
1,000,000 KB based on 1000 KB = 1 MB and so on
1,048,576 KB based on 1024 KB = 1 MB & 1024 MB = 1 GB, and so on
most people will use 1 MB being 1000 KB, but the reason for 1 MB = 1024 KB was/is for the way computer memory is stored. that's why you see flash drives that are usually
256 MB, 512 MB, 1024 MB (1 GB), 2 GB, 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB, and rarely 32 GB.
that's where it starts, because you keep with the pattern shown:
1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, 2048, 4096 ...
I hope this wasn't too confusing for you, but maybe this will answer future questions & provide a better understanding if you can keep up.
P.S. for future conversions, If you'd like to convert based on 1000 KB = 1 MB, then all you have to do is move the decimal, and if you'd like to convert based on 1024KB = 1 MB, then Google calculator will provide you with the correct answer. You can use google calculator by typing into their searchbar something along the lines of:
KB in 1 GB, but you have to remember to keep the letters capital, otherwise it will confuse it with Kilobits/Gigabits.
Oh, and remember, almost all ISP's (internet Service Providers such as Charter & Qwest) us Megabits per second, not Megabytes per second, so to find out how many Megabytes per second they are advertising, just divide it by 8.
8.24149 gigs. i gig is 1000 KB
.702 a gig is one thousand mb
1000 kb or mb i am not sure is 1 gig ok that means 4 gig is ^Answer
2011787 kb = 2.011787 gig kilobyte = 1024 bytes................ Commonly rounded down to one thousand bytes. megabyte = , 1,024 kilobytes.. Commonly rounded down to one million bytes. gigabyte = 1024 megabytes.... Commonly rounded down to one billion bytes. terabyte = 1024 gigabytes..... Commonly rounded down to one trillion bytes. To put this in perspective: kb = 1000 mb = 1,000,000 gb = 1,000,000,000 tb = 1,000,000,000,000 Hope this helps! ;-) No it doesn't!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How does that not help, that's exactly what you asked for.... 2011787= 2 gig's (well 2.011787 gigs) unless you were being sarcastic then i understand, i just can't tell reading it on the internet. anyway if that didn't i hope this helped even though i repeated what he said lol, have a nice day, take care. 1/10 of a gig 1,000,000 kb to the gig
One Thousand KB equals one Megabyte
is 500 KB one page of print
10000000 Bytes = 10000000/1024 KB = 10000000/(1024 x 1024) MB = 9.53674316 MB
1024 kb = 1 mb
Mario kart double dash is 1.2 gig so that means it is roughly 1300megabytes. Here is the math...... 1 kb = 1024 b 1mb = 1024 kb 1gb = 1024 mb
In one gigabyte is 1048576 kb. ---- Answer by http://malware.lv/
Since there are 1000 bytes in KB, 1000 KB in a MB, and 1000 MB in a GB, there are 1000000 KB in a MB.
