slope intercept form is written as: y=mx+b

y is the y coordinate

m is the slope of the line

x is the x coordinate

b is the point that the line intersects the y axis

you need to find b, so you plug in all the other numbers to get:

5=2(3)+b

5=6+b

-6 -6

_____

-1= b

so finally you write: y=2x-1

(note that you write -1 because you are adding negative 1 which is the same as subtracting 1.

also, you are not supposed to write what the x and y are when you write it in slope intercept form, so you leave them as x and y.)

The equation in slope-intercept form is y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept. Given the slope m = 2 and the point (4, 2), plug in these values to find the equation: 2 = 2(4) + b. Solve for b to get b = -6. Therefore, the equation of the line is y = 2x - 6.

Which number in the standard equation for a circle centered at the origin should one increase to make the circle larger?

You should increase the radius in the standard equation of a circle centered at the origin. The general form is ( x^2 + y^2 = r^2 ), where ( r ) is the radius. By increasing ( r ), you extend the distance from the center to any point on the circle, making it larger.

When should you write a thesis fit a research essay?

You should write a thesis statement for a research essay after conducting research and organizing your ideas. The thesis should be a clear, concise statement that summarizes the main point or argument of your essay. It provides direction for your writing and helps guide the reader through your paper.

What is the correct equation for writing a thesis statement?

A thesis statement should provide a clear and concise summary of the main point or argument of your paper. It typically consists of a topic, an assertion about that topic, and a rationale for that assertion. Some examples include "The increasing use of technology is changing the way we communicate" or "The legalization of marijuana would have positive impacts on society."

How do you write an implicit thesis?

To write an implicit thesis, you need to convey your main argument indirectly through the use of subtle clues or hints throughout your writing. This involves crafting your content in a way that allows readers to infer the main point without explicitly stating it. Utilize strategic language choices, organization, and evidence to guide readers to the intended thesis without explicitly spelling it out.

What is the GPA for 84.44 percent on a 4.0 grade point scale?

Step 1: Find the variable for the unknown GPA value (X) using this cross-multiplication formula: X/84.4 = 4.0/100.0 Multiply the numerator in the first fraction (X) with the denominator in the second fraction (100.0), then multiply the denominator in the first fraction (84.4) with the numerator in the second fraction (4.0). This will give you: 100.0X=337.76 Step 2: Now, you must separate X from 100. Since 100X is multiplication, divide the equation by 100. This gives you 100X/100, where the 100's cancel each other out, leaving only the X. In order for the equation to keep its balance, you must also divide the other side of the equation by 100. So, divide calculate 337.76/100, and you get 3.3776. This leaves the equation as X=3.3776 So, an average of 84.4 = 3.3776 on a 4.0 scale.

Write the equation in slopeintercept form of the line that has a slope of 3 and contains the point 4 9?

The equation of the line is of the form y = 3x + c where c is a constant. The point (4,9) is on the line, so substituting x=4, y=9 in the equation, 9 = 3*4 + c = 12 + c so c = -3 So the equation of the line is y = 3x - 3
