World War 2 impacted America for about 4 decades both during and after the war. It shaped the economy, consumerism, family life, lifestyles, business and values. It also added millions of new babies who are about to become seniors on social security. It changed the way women viewed themselves and gave them potential. World War 1 did not impact the US in a very positive way. It caused a very serious case of isolationism and anti-Europeanism. That all changed with World War 2. Now the US is a more global nation thanks to technology.
