There are only two types of modding to the 360. Using an actual mod chip or "flashing" they disc drive. There are many videos on YouTube how to flash different disc drives and it can be very confusing. The best bet is to stay away from it because many people have been banned from xbox live forever or there disc drives wont function anymore. In ored to flash, you have to have many uncommon tools to open your 360 and a special cable to connect the drive to the computer. It also requires opening up your 360 and computer completely which voids the warrenty. Basically if you do this you have to invest about 40 dollars for tools and supplies, then you void warrenties, possibly get kicked off of live, and/or non-working xbox.
