when you suspect that there maybe a possible head/neck injury, just to the jaw thrust, not the head-tilt-chin-lift thing.
if ever there's a neck injury, it's better prioritize your patient's airway first rather than the neck injury.
What is your question?
For suspected neck or back injury use the jaw thrust method to open the airway; you are correct.
control the C-spine first
Place elbows on the same ground as the victim's head.
rest your elbows on the same surface on which the patient is lying
Stabilize the neck
Jaw-Thrust Technique
The head-tilt technique should not be used when it is suspected the patient may have a cervical spine or neck injury.
Place heel of hand in between the nipples
Rest your elbows on the same surface in which the victim is lying. The naso-pharyngeal airway device is another way to insure the airway is open.
Use the jaw thrust technique on a person with a suspected neck or back injury.
rest your elbows on the same surface on which the patient is lying
