Rest your elbows on the same surface in which the victim is lying.
The naso-pharyngeal airway device is another way to insure the airway is open.
What is your question?
For suspected neck or back injury use the jaw thrust method to open the airway; you are correct.
control the C-spine first
Place elbows on the same ground as the victim's head.
rest your elbows on the same surface on which the patient is lying
use the nasopharyngeal airway
rest your elbows on the same surface on which the patient is lying
Are you asking how to perform it? If so you kneel behind the head of the person. Place your fingers at the back of the jaw and lift the jaw upwards so that you do not move the victims head or neck.
when you suspect that there maybe a possible head/neck injury, just to the jaw thrust, not the head-tilt-chin-lift thing. if ever there's a neck injury, it's better prioritize your patient's airway first rather than the neck injury.
To improve your hand strumming technique on the guitar, practice regularly, focus on your wrist movement, maintain a steady rhythm, and experiment with different strumming patterns. Additionally, watching tutorials and seeking feedback from experienced guitarists can help you refine your technique.
Hi, Depending on if you have received level of first aid training this will depend. If you have basic or no training your aim is to keep the patient alive regardless of any suspected or obvious spinal injury. Therefore you should move the neck to keep the airway open and clear. However, if you have received first aid training in the 'jaw thrust', which is where you are showing how how to open the airway with minimal damage caused to the spine.REMEMBER BY READING FIRST AID INSTRUCTIONS DOES NOT CLASSIFY YOU AS A FIRST AIDER. YOU SHOULD ATTEND A FIRST AID COURSE.
Jaw-thrust technique.
