Boys start puberty at different times, and move through it at different speeds. You've still got 3 or 4 years before you finish growing, so don't worry.

The average sizes are:

* Before puberty, between 3 and 4 inches erect (8 - 10 cm). * After your puberty growth spurt, maybe 4 - 6 inches (10 - 15 cm). * It will keep growing through puberty till you are 18 or 19 years old.

While it might not be exactly usual for a boy of 15 to have a penis and scrotum like you describe it is still within the normal range. Before puberty boys tend to have a penis of around 1 inch in length and a scrotum that is round in shape and close up against their body. Early in puberty, as the testes grow larger, a boy's scrotum begins to hang lower and loose to accomodate the enlarged testes. It serves to hold the testes away from the body (as they produce sperm better at a slightly lower temperature than the rest of the body). The penis tends to grow longer and thicker time after the testes and scrotum so for a while most boys have rather a large scrotum but still have a small penis. Puberty is a veryvariable thing and although the average age for boys to start puberty is 12 to 13 years of age, it is considered normal to start it at any age from 9 years of age right up until the late teens. At 15 you are towards the later end of this range and although it may be a bit embarrassing, especially in the changing rooms and showers at school it isn't that unusual. Have you experienced any of the other changes associated with puberty? Such as the growth of pubic hair or your voice getting deeper? If not and you are getting concerned about these issues it might be a good idea to discus them with your doctor. At the very worse you might be embarrassed and at the best it could help to put your mind at rest.

u probably haven't started puberty yet. most guys don't start 'til there at least nine or ten years old and girls start it earlier than guys do. u may not even start 'til your seventeen. otherwise, some-thing's wrong.
