Any answer to this question will be a matter of personal opinion.. My opinion is that you would be better off getting the GED. Staying in school at the later age tends to make you an outcast or a social target for others' poor behavior.
Your question also brings up the question of how suited you are to the traditional educational system. Perhaps an individual tutor helping you study for the GED would bring better results.
