One cause can be excessive mouse use, especially if you lean on the table while using your computer.
It is called the tingling. When you sleep on your hand, blood circulation is stopped, so the blood doesn't get to your hand. This is why it feels numd.
No. I had to have it done to both hands as the tingling and pain stopped me from getting any sleep or using my hands properly about 4 years ago. the best move I ever made I haven't had any problems since then.

If after two years, you are still having headaches from your tooth, you need to visit your dentist. There could be nerve damage from the bad tooth or root canal procedure.
My nose was numb for about 10 years after septorhynoplasty. It was nice to get a functioning nose back but the numbness was annoying for a time. Any time you get operated on, you run the risk of having nerves cut. Your nerves will eventually 're-wire' or you'll get used to the numbness. Talk to your doctor if you are really concerned.
I had the same surgery ten years ago and there are still areas on my right thigh (surface) that have no feeling. My mom had similar results after her hysterectomy. Nerve damage is what I was told.
I had hip replacement surgery 2 years 2 1/2 months ago and my upper thigh is still numb! I was told it could be up to three years until I get the numbness to go away! I have until 2013 to look forward to finding out.
Yes I believe so. 24 years old is at the right age bracket of having a baby.
Please check out my website mysensation.info and read my story about vaginal numbness. I lived with this sexual dysfunction for over 25 years before finding the answer. This site is dedicated to women who have vaginal numbness so they won't have to suffer like I did. Please read my story and contact me if you have any questions. Elisabeth Ross
I'm 36 years old do not have any illness, nor do I take any medications. I'm about 20 pounds overweight. I occasionally smoke. what should I make of this, Right now my right side of my nose is sort of numb. the feeling is like when you go to the dentist and you are numb.
There is absolutely no benefit for having lyme disease.. if you're lucky enough to catch the disease early (first stage) then it's treatable, but many people go years without treatment leading to chronic pain. It makes you tired, rundown, joints swell, nausea, poor circulation, shooting pain and numbness.. etc. benefits? absoultely none.
