Hi im a witch in traing also. I have actual powers! i looked it up and what you have to do is have a broom that's in good shape, like the brush part and the stick must be wooden. then you go outside on a 2-3 feet part and you clear your mind of everything except about flying then you picture yourself flying and concatrate very very hard then you jump. it might take time and practice, so i say practice about 30-45 min. every day at about the same time as the day before, if you can you don't have to practice about the same time as the day before but it helps. so there you go, how to fly a broomstick. Happy witch traing!
"It's always best to start at the beginning -- and all you do is follow the Yellow Brick Road" is Glinda the Good Witch's quote to Dorothy about starting her journey on the Yellow Brick Road" in "The Wizard of Oz."Specifically, this quote occurs in the beloved 1939 film version but not the original 1900 book edition of "The Wizard of Oz." Glinda indicates two ways to reach the Emerald City and ask the Wizard for help getting back to Kansas. Dorothy Gale can fly by broomstick or walk along the Yellow Brick Road.
Elphaba Thropp, the future Wicked Witch of the West, needs to fly when she decides that her life will be about protesting unfair rules, about 'Defying Gravity'. There's a blackout that enables the actress to secure herself to a hydraulic lift. The special effects involve the hydraulic lift, the harness, and the combination of on-stage lights, smoke, and wind.
Elphaba is the phonetic pronounciation (el-pha-ba) of L.F.B., which are the initials of Lyman Frank Baum (May 15, 1856 - May 5, 1919), original creator of the Oz book series.Specifically, Elphaba's first name, and her last name of Thropp, were given to her by Gregory Maguire (b. June 9, 1954). Baum had left her nameless, other than the title of Wicked Witch of the West. Maguire changed all that, in 1995, with his novel "Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West."
Flying monkeys exist in fantasy. Frank Baum, the author of "The Wizard of Oz," explained that he was writing fantasy. Flying monkeys only exist in imagination. But in the Wizard of Oz flying monkeys existed in the creepy forest hollow and the wicked witch of the west's castle.
The first song you hear is actually the ringtone on Kate's phone. When she wakes up to the phone ringing there is an image of the Wicked Witch from the Wizard of Oz. And the song playing is from the Wizard of Oz - it's the one played whenever the Wicked Witch is on screen.
To the Emerald City - as fast as lightning!

The note stuck to the wall (by Cupid's arrow) says "Fly to the chalice", which is in the attic. To reach it, click on the spider on the floor. When he drops down, the witch picture will drop her broomstick. You can use it to fly (slowly) to the attic. The chalice is in the large chest. (see related question)
Harry Potter broomstick replicas can be bought on Amazon or eBay, with prices ranging from $15 (standard broomstick) to about $100 (Firebolt broomstick). However, more preferred are broomstick replicas from the Noble Collection, an official collection of Harry Potter object replicas (including wands, Horcruxes, etc...) by Warner Bros. Noble Collection broomsticks are better preferred because they have the same appearance as of the movies, though they are very expensive.
