I honor you for trying to help your brother. Always put family before friends. Do what is best for you brother, it is the only right thing to do. Encourage your friend to look elsewhere for love and help your brother deal with how he was mis-treated in the relationship so he can move on with good self-confidence.
Also, a 9th grade girl going after a 6th grade boy is not healthy behavior by your friend. She needs to find out why she would not be attracted to boys her age or older, everyone knows that females mature earlier than males, so females need to look to older males to find compatible maturity.
