If you haven't opened the box yet and you have the receipt you can easily return it, but if you did, it may be more difficult. If you have opened it what I would do would be to bring the software back to the store you bought if from, and go to the cashers desk and explain to them that you didn't want to buy the upgrade you meant to buy the full version. (Now places usually won't let you return software for the reason that you could have installed it and then you're returning it, but keep in mind that you don't want to get you're money back, you just want to put this purchase towards the whole version). So simply asking for a store credit may be enough for them to let you return it, so that you can buy the full version (for $100 more). They would probably let you do this. If they don't, then at this point it would be a good Idea to ask for the manager. (The important thing is to not leave until you get what you want) Now a common response to the asking for the manager is that they'er out to lunch, or they're at a meeting or they're gone for the day. Most of the time this is to deter you from getting what you want, so now just hunker down and keep going. Ask for there supervisor, ask for some one else. And explain to them why you need to return this. If they don't let you do this ask them how you're suppose to return you're software to get the full version. Just keep going do not give up because at some point they will realize that you won't give up, and sooner or later you will give you what you want, other wise they will lose you're business.
