Well, if you can bench 225 for 1 rep, 10 reps, or 30 reps...it's still 225. It's also very impressive. If you're looking for a 1 rep max calculation...you should be close to 1000 pounds or more if you train properly and use correct form.
Should be around 450-480 lbs.
He claims that he does reps at 185lb with a one-rep max of 205
Bench reps are measured 185lbs. x to failure for skill positions and 225lbs. x to failure for linemaen and linebackers. Max. Bench is 1 rep your maximum weight for a typical Bench press.
what i do is bench a fairly light weight (170-200 for me) for as many reps as i can because that tones muscle and in turn gives a lot of strength. also do one rep and hold for endurance. doing this has allowed me to get a 1 rep max of an impressive 450. im only 23 too.
300
Generally Yes because the amount of reps, sets and frequency will have a big impact on what weight you can lift during any particular workout, A 1 REP MAX doesnt have this problem.
235 pounds is his 1 Rep Max! Pretty Impressive
435 rep.
Reps are an abbreviation of repetitions. In weight training you do one exercise and repeat it a certain number of times, say 10. Then you relax a brief period of time. Then you do a second set of 10. Then you rest. Then you do 10 more reps.
If could take anywhere from a few months to a few years. Diet, technique, rest, and work out plan all affect the rate of progress for each individual.
I would say about 60% or 70% of your one rep max on bench warm up with 50% or you can burn out by starting with 80% then 70%, 60%, 50% then you can do push ups to finish with. of cousre warm up first then do 80%. Reps should be till failure. (have a spotter)
according to ESPN, Dwight can bench 265 pounds. I do not know whether or not that is 10 rep or max out. The guy above is wrong. Dwight Freeney benched 225 lbs for 28 reps in 2002 when he was in college. It's much higher now. My estimates is that he benches around 515 lbs to 550 lbs. I know he squats 785 lbs, as he professed to it himself.
i would say max around mid to high 200's and rep 180-200,i played qb in '93 as a freshman and use to rep 8-10 reps about 190 and max about 245-255,however i was small 5'7 145 lbs.but it really don't matter bcuz they don't put a bench on the field and see who is the strongest.joe Montana was a weanie arm and probally couldn't throw more than 50 yrds.but was one the best ever.
