on 3.1 there is no dipstick. the only time you have to check fluid in tranny is,if you have a leak or you think it is giving you problems. first raise up car level then take plug out of in back of tranny pan to check fluid. if it runs out it is to full, fluid should be at bottom of hole.to add fluid, on the top of tranny there is a red cap unscrew this cap and use a long neck funnel to add fluid..only until it is at bottom of plug hole,by tranny.
if u cant find it more then likely its a sealed tranny
On the manual transmission the dip stick is also the speedometer cable mount. When you remove the cable from the back side which is between the motor and firewall you will see the dots on the housing that holds the speedo gear. This is also where you refill the trans. I think it is easiest to just drain the trans and put the recommended amount it takes to fill it.
You can't. It's a sealed transmission, and has no spout or dipstick. All service to the transmission should be done by a dealer.
I have a 1999 Potiac Grand Am SE, and I cannot find the transmission dip stick to check the transmission fluid.

Can't find transmission dip stick for a 84 custom 2 Chevy
Hey There: This may sound dumb,,,but in works,,,if you are the original owner of the truck,,,then i suggest ,,you find and locate your owners manuel,,,go to the section on maintence,,,there you will find ,,,diagrams,,,showing you,,,all you need to know,,,about ,,,where all the functions of the motor are,,,,including the oil stick,,,and the transmission stick,,,if you donot have an owners manuel,,,then check back,,,and i will tell you where the stick is,,,,be sure to tell me ,,,what size your motor is,,,so i can give you,,,the correct information,,,,GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!
You cant...you have to craft them from planks.
You can find it by looking for the red handle coming from the transmission.
were do you put the transmission fluid i cant find it
FYI Manufactures have stopped putting dip sticks on some transmissions so that do-it-yourselfers cant add the wrong transmission fluid to the transmission. If you mix different transmission fluids the chemical reactions can change the viscosity of the fluid and turn it to sludge.
If it is a manual transmission it has no dip stick just a fluid level plug
