well when i try to upload vids from my cell phone it says: The file C:\Users\Damian\Desktop\editor\SSPX0345.3g2 cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again.

No. You can't import URLs into Windows Movie Maker.
If you have a USB cord then connect it into your (thingie) Where you put your flash drives. Then go to Windows Movie Maker and hit Import Videos which is in the tasks bar. And your videos should be in your file where the videos were transfered
