That means its not the spark plugs........Oh ya check your gas gage...
you can use ngk or Bosch it will perform very good, but please don't change the spark plugs when the engine is still hot because it will smoke
Change crank shaft angle sensor ul get a spark
To change the spark plugs on a 2000 Malibu, you need to get a spark plug socket with a u-joint in order to access the plugs on the firewall side of the engine. The plugs up front are easy to get at, and don't require anything special. Word of warning, if your Malibu has relitivley high mileage on it (80,000+) and it still has the factory plug wires, there is a good chance that they will break on you when you have to pry them off of the plugs, go ahead and replace the plug wires when you replace the plugs.
You don't you can change them while the car is still hot its no problem.
spark plugs are directly in center of valve cover under spark plug boots. Follow wires from coil pack and remove wire from plug. Plugs still can not be seen but can be removed with small spark plug socket and long extension.
Remove the driver's seat and panels under the seat .This will show a metal cover on side of engine. Remove this and you will see the spark plugs. The plugs are damned expensive , but only require replacing every 100,000kms. I have had the same plugs since new, and it has now done 315,000kms and still doesn't miss a beat.
Have fun. You have to pull the fuel rail to get the direct igniton off then you can get at the plugs. Tip from pro: If your CAREFULL you can sneak the coils out with the fuel rail still on. Then you can get the plugs out.
It is pretty easy to change spark plugs on most cars. Buy a Haynes manual at an auto parts store; it will walk you though it step-by-step. The gap should be listed on a sticker either by the radiator or the underside of the hood. It is usually possible to by pre-gapped spark plugs, but you should still check them. For the 1.8t engine -> It is not too hard. Just take off the plastic cover, undo the Allen bolts around the square things, pull out the long plastic tube thing and use a spark plug socket. The gap is .028. I had the guy at the auto parts store gap the new spark plugs.
at one time Honda did not sure if they still do
there is the spark plug boots
you would take out the spark plugs still attached to the spark wires. place the metal of the plugs onto a grounded metal spot. make sure they are not touching in order to prevent damaging them or blowing fuses.
check the gappings of your spark plugs, it must be uniform.
