You mean you claimed 0 on your W-4 and/ or your return? The W-4 is the one that determines withholding. If you claimed say 3 on it and 0 on the return, then that is bound to happen. If you claimed 0 on both, and presuming you have no other income (which could cause additional payment in any case)...then recalc your return, something isn't right.
for best tax return claim 0 at work and when you file claim 1
i think if you don't owe taxes for 2007,but owe taxes on prior years you should still get a stimulus check as long as you are making monthly payments on what you owe.
what fongressmen owes bacvk taxes and how much
I claimed 0 and made 56,000. Shoud I owe
You are legally required to pay taxes. Taxes are only due on money you have earned therefore if you owe taxes you have had the money. If you do not pay the taxes you owe you will be sent to court and made to pay - even if you go to prison you will still owe the tax man.

They can if you still owe arrearages. ( back support)
You still owe them. In the US, the IRS has 10 years to collect taxes.
If you still owe for 2006 taxes, probably not.
Of course you do, plus penal;ty and interest.Your jail is for the crime of trying to avoid taxes, not in lieu of paying them.
No. If you owe back taxes, the government will automatically take out what you owed last year from what you get refunded this year.
The IRS definitely wants people who owe them money to file their taxes. Also note: today (as I type) is April 4th, so you are not yet late for 2013.
You will have to pay a fine. And pay all the money back that you owe.
