Talk to a councellor or a shrink person or a trusted adult. You have to work through it at your own pace, and make sure you have a healthy support group to help you.

You can say things to upset people for many reasons, they hurt you, they made you mad, they said something first, you don't realize it will upset them, you are mad, you are upset, you just aren't thinking, you like to upset people, or many other reasons, but then you regret it because you realize you have upset someone and you did not want to or intend to so you feel regret and remorse for what you said, its very normal it happens to just about everyone!

It is important to tell them especially if it involves them because it shows them that you made a mistake or did something that you didnt really want to do. if you dont tell them, then they will be believing in a false reality, in which they see your mistake as you doing the right thing. however, if you regret something like a kiss that you actually wanted to do, then that is your mind telling you that you want to be with them. by telling this person you regret something that you actually wanted to do could bite you in the butt later on because he/she will think that you dont like him/her. for all you know, this person could be Mr. or Mrs. Right.
