I have a lovely healthy Beardie of my own so my advice is for an adult bearded dragon.... EVERY OTHER morning give him/her 4-5 locusts or crickets. On the mornings you aren't giving it live food, give it either vegetables dusted with a calcium supplement or special formulated Bearded Dragon pellets that provide a nutritional diet. Any other Inquiries? Contact me :D
They grow up to 24 inches - which is just under 61cm
No. Fireflies can kill due to neurotoxins that cause them to glow. Do not, under any circumstances, feed fireflies.
Mine don't. If yours is, double check your vivarium temperatures. Ensure your Beardie has suitable basking and hiding areas. Ensure it is not hungry. Ensure there are no mealworms, crickets, beetles, etc, hiding under the substrate, which could be causing it irritation. Take it from it's vivarium daily, to socialise.
No. While bearded dragons have a 'beard' of coarse scales that they can flare out using muscles and a moveable piece of cartilage, anoles have a flap of skin connected to a rod of cartilage, called a dewlap. The dewlap, or throat flag, is different in structure from a bearded dragon's beard. The dewlap extends vertically from the throat, while a bearded dragon's beat flares out in a half circle horizontally under its jaw.
They have small hairs on their chin (flot). Even though people say dragons are mystical, the Bible talks a lot about mystical creatures in revelation. Just thought I should say that>>>
They can usually live for about 8 to 10 years sometimes longer if they are living under the right circumstances.
Suffocation would just kill your Beardie. A Beardie turns black under the chin for the following reasons: 1. It's not hot enough and is trying to draw heat 2. It feels threatened by something and is trying to protect itself
Nothing will happen. At least it didnt sting him.
Bearded Dragons under 10 inches can be housed in a 20 gallon tank. This will only last a few months as they grow quickly.
