Answer

The mum will probably come back to them. She has to leave them alone because she cannot bring them with her, but she will most likely go back fairly often so long as no one is too close to them.

Even if you don't think she will come back rearing mice is extremely difficult, and if they are wild mice they would be too tame and would be killed quickly. Mice with disabilities and tameness would never cope long, which is why it isn't too uncommon for cats to bring in mice with white eyes, or blind mice.

Your baby mouse is lying separately from the rest of it's litter Is this normal?

This could mean there is something wrong with the baby....the mother will reject a baby that is not healthy. Try putting it back with the rest of the litter and if it continues to be pushed out it is fairly safe to say it is abnormal. IF it is abnormal she may even eat it eventually. FYI The belief that the mother will not care for a baby after you have touched it is not true, I touch my baby rats and mice from the day they are born and I have even returned baby birds to their nests and the mother still fed them.

If your hamster is pregnant should you keep the father with them?

No. The father will eat the babies and could impregnate her again once she has her litter. Back-to-back pregnancies cause stress and can kill a mother and her unborn litter or she may eat her current litter due to stress.

Do mother lovebird still feed their baby after removing the baby bird for one day and put them back to their mother?

Mother lovebirds may or may not feed a baby that is returned after a day. Parrots are intelligent creatures, but there is no way to determine if she will accept the baby back. It's best to leave them with her.

What is a Gazelle's behavior?

When a gazelle is first born it stays with its mother for about three years. Then the baby goes off on its own. Then while the mother is not with the baby the baby gazelle stayes in the bushes until the mother calls. When the baby calls back he knows right where his mother is and goes straight to her. If the mother has mated the male gazelle will watch the baby, not because he wants to keep the baby safe, because he is hoping to mate with its mother again.

What happens if you took away one of the baby mice from their mother?
