Talk to her mom in person. She probibly doesn't trust you because of sexual stuff...don't worry, you just have to be careful. Meet with her mother and explain yourself. Say you feel guilty about it, that is was the heat of the moment. Tell her your feelings about her daughter. If you let her know you care about her daughter, chances are she'll lighten up a bit. Tell her you will never do anything like that again. (just to be on the safe side) Then ask for another chance.

What you did is wrong and your mother is right. The church was an inappropriate place for you to do this, the hickey is a bad idea, and your behavior was not good. Your mother is trying to teach you and protect you from making mistakes. I once had a 8th grade student ask me if the hickey she had was wrong.
