First you've GOT tpdetermine what the thick red gunk is and where it came from. Is it some kind of oil or what and how did it get in there? You'll have to make any needed repairs before you go any further. After that, flushing is easy. Buy some radiator flush at an auto parts store and follow the enclosed directions.
The most likely cause of this is a blown head gasket dumping oil back into the coolant passages. The oil will mix with the glycol in the antifreeze and make a thick yellow paste. It is very important to flush the cooling system after the repair or this sludge will cause heating problems.
Lower radiator hose. It may be easier to use the drain plug located on the left hand side of the radiator. Its on the back of the radiator. Do not mistake the heater core for the radiator. The radiator is the one with the thick rubber hoses. To take off the lower radiator hose you have to remove the air filter box.
SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE A CLOGGED RADIATOR WHAT YOU NEED TO DO IS GO DOWN TO AUTOZONE OR YOUR LOCAL AUTOMOTIVE PARTS STORE AND AS FOR A RADIATOR FLUSH KIT AD JUST FLUSH YOU RADIATOR.. you should also check your your head gasket you might be mixing oil with your antifreeze, a simple compression test might answer some question for you If your car is automatic, you may have had the trans cooler tube in bottom radiator tank start leaking trans fluid into the cooling water.
The head is gone
Yes....from your radiator in the front, squeeze one of the thick hoses when the car is running....if there is pressure (it's hard to squeeze), then your water pump is working. If it's easy for you to squeeze it all the way, the water pump has failed.
the thick liquid would plug your radiator and ruin your water pump. and destroy your engine.
There is a thick radiator hose coming from the right hand side of the radiator at the top, follow that hose from the radiator towards the engine. I will connect to the thermostat housing, it has two bolts.
depends on the engine on the 3.3 there is a thick black hose that goes from the radiator to the engine
Engine oil is mixing in probably due to a faulty head gasket.
it should be rigth of the valve cover follow the thick vacum hoses from the intake manifold
Flush the system immediately and install the correct fluid. Oil is too thick for the PS system.
Caused by a leaking gasket which allows oil to seep into the water cooling channels.
