You got in a car accident but did not get the responsible party's insurance info just their email and phone number. What do you do?

If after you contact them they will not provide any information, try and reverse search of their phone number for an address, name, etc, maybe drive by and get the plate number if you didn't get that. File the claim with your company if you have collision coverage and they will track down the driver for repayment...I assume you didn't call the police? Always a good idea (no matter how nice the other guy is) to contact the police while still at the accident scene, (if on public roadway)....If you have the plate, contact the police (contact them anyway and report this accident), or the DMV for your state to see if you can get the owner information on this plate, some DMV's also have the insurance information.....good luck, this is hard....

You need to contact your insurance provider immediately. the person you hit may or may not have ins. Let your insurance provider handle this one. You did what your were supposed to do by law.
